Beorn was a Northman in LOTR. a skin-changer, and chieftain of the Beornings who lived near the river Anduin between Mirkwood and the Misty Mountains. This color palette was inspired by his beeping and crazy red beard depicted in an icon.

Falkland: Falkland does not refer to a specific breed, but is a blend of wool from sheep that predominate the Falkland Islands (Corriedale, Polwarth, and Dohne Merino). It's a great wool for spinning, knitting, and felting. It reminds me a bit of BFL in its staple length and silkiness.
